1. Nature of Digital Services

AsianPay provides digital payment services including mobile recharges, DTH recharges, money transfers, bill payments, and ticket bookings. Due to the instant and intangible nature of these digital services, traditional "return" policies (applicable to physical goods) do not directly apply.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Digital services, once delivered, cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense. However, we offer refunds, reversals, and cancellations under specific circumstances outlined in this policy.

2. Service-Specific Return/Cancellation Policies

Return Status: Non-returnable after successful delivery

  • Once recharge is successfully processed and credited to the mobile number, it cannot be returned or reversed
  • Failed recharges are automatically refunded (see Refund Policy)
  • Wrong number recharges cannot be returned or transferred

Return Status: Non-returnable after successful delivery

  • Successfully processed DTH recharges cannot be returned
  • Balance once added to DTH account is non-refundable
  • Failed transactions are automatically reversed

๐Ÿ’ธ Money Transfer (DMT)

Return Status: Conditional reversal possible

  • Successfully credited transfers cannot be reversed by AsianPay
  • Failed transfers are automatically reversed to wallet
  • Incorrect beneficiary details resulting in successful transfer cannot be returned
  • For disputes, contact the recipient bank directly

๐Ÿ” AEPS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment)

Return Status: Non-returnable

  • Cash withdrawal transactions are final and cannot be reversed
  • Balance enquiry and mini statement services are non-refundable
  • Failed transactions are handled by the acquiring bank

Return Status: Non-returnable after biller confirmation

  • Once bill payment is confirmed by the biller, it cannot be returned
  • Duplicate payments require verification with biller for reversal
  • Failed payments are automatically refunded
  • Overpayment issues must be resolved directly with the biller

๐ŸšŒ Bus Booking

Return Status: Cancellable with conditions

  • Ticket cancellation subject to bus operator's cancellation policy
  • Cancellation charges may apply based on timing and operator
  • Partial cancellation available for multi-seat bookings
  • Refund after deduction of cancellation charges
  • No-show tickets are non-refundable

Return Status: Withdrawal available

  • Wallet balance can be withdrawn to bank account (not "returned")
  • Withdrawal subject to KYC completion
  • Processing time: 3-5 business days
  • Wallet-to-wallet transfers are non-reversible

3. Why Digital Services Cannot Be Returned

Unlike physical products, digital payment services have unique characteristics that prevent traditional returns:

  • Instant Delivery: Services are delivered and consumed immediately upon successful processing
  • Third-Party Involvement: Services involve external parties (telecom operators, billers, banks) who have their own policies
  • Non-Tangible Nature: There is no physical product to be received back
  • Regulatory Compliance: Financial regulations require finality in transactions
  • Security Concerns: Allowing returns could enable fraudulent activities

4. Alternative to Returns

While returns are not applicable, we offer the following alternatives:

4.1 Refunds

For eligible failed or erroneous transactions, refunds are processed as per our Refund Policy.

4.2 Cancellations

For services that support cancellation (like bus bookings), you can cancel before the service is utilized, subject to cancellation charges.

4.3 Disputes

For transaction disputes, our customer support team will investigate and provide appropriate resolution.

4.4 Chargebacks

For unauthorized transactions, you may initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer.

5. Bus Booking Cancellation Details

As bus booking is the primary service with cancellation options, here are the details:

5.1 Cancellation Timeline

  • More than 24 hours before departure: Lower cancellation charges (varies by operator)
  • 12-24 hours before departure: Moderate cancellation charges
  • Less than 12 hours before departure: Higher cancellation charges or no refund
  • After departure time: No cancellation or refund

5.2 How to Cancel

  1. Log in to your AsianPay account
  2. Go to "My Bookings" section
  3. Select the ticket to cancel
  4. Review cancellation charges
  5. Confirm cancellation
  6. Refund will be processed to wallet within 24-48 hours

6. Exceptions and Special Cases

6.1 Service Provider Initiated Cancellations

If a service provider (bus operator, biller, etc.) cancels a service:

  • Full refund will be processed automatically
  • No cancellation charges from AsianPay
  • Service provider's policies may additionally apply

6.2 Force Majeure Events

In cases of natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseeable events:

  • Special consideration for refunds/credits
  • Evaluated on a case-by-case basis
  • Contact customer support with relevant documentation

6.3 Technical Failures

If our platform experiences technical issues causing service problems:

  • We will work to resolve or provide appropriate compensation
  • Refunds processed for any charges incurred due to our errors

To minimize the need for returns, refunds, or disputes:

  • Verify Details: Always double-check mobile numbers, account numbers, and other details before confirming
  • Review Before Payment: Check the amount, service provider, and plan details

  • Check Policies: Review cancellation policies before booking tickets
  • Secure Your Account: Don't share credentials to prevent unauthorized transactions
  • Contact Support Early: Report issues immediately for faster resolution
